Warm air in July is not something you live with around here. Most of the time it is a leak, and leaks can be found.

A recharge is not a repair.

If a system is low, the refrigerant went somewhere. Filling it back up buys a few weeks and then you are warm again.

So the system gets tested for where it is leaking first — condenser, hose, seal, compressor front — and then it gets fixed and recharged.

Symptoms

Cool, but not coldUsually a system that is low. Low means a leak somewhere.

Cold, then warm on idleAirflow across the condenser, or a fan that is not coming on.

The compressor will not engagePressure switch, clutch, wiring, or the system is too low to let it run.

Air blows weak on every settingCabin filter, blower motor or the resistor behind it.

Can you just top mine up?

It can be recharged, but be clear on what that buys you. If it leaked out once it will leak out again, so it is worth knowing where from.

Do you work on older R-12 cars?

Bring it by or call (678) 851-1258 and describe it — older systems come with their own considerations and it is better to talk it through first.

My A/C smells musty. Can that be fixed?

Usually. It starts with the cabin filter and the drain, and there is more that can be done if that is not enough.

How long does A/C work take?

Finding a slow leak takes longer than fixing an obvious one. You get a time frame once it has been tested.

Call the shop about a/c repair, or send the details and somebody will get back to you.
