A parts-store scan hands you a number. That number names a circuit, not the broken part on it — which is why swapping the sensor sometimes changes nothing.

A check engine light that stays onSteady is "get it looked at". Flashing is "stop driving it" — that is a misfire putting raw fuel into the converter.

I already know my code. Can you just fix that?

You can absolutely bring the code in — it saves a step. It still gets verified, because replacing the part a code names is the single most common way people spend money twice.

Can you find an electrical problem that comes and goes?

Often, yes, though intermittents take longer by nature. Note when it happens — cold, hot, over bumps, in rain — because that narrows it fast.

Do you do emissions repairs?

Yes. If it failed, bring the report, because it names the system that put it there.

Will the light come back on?

Not if the cause was fixed rather than the code cleared. Clearing a code without a repair only hides it until the next drive cycle.
