An oil change is twenty minutes of work and five minutes of looking — belts, hoses, brake pad thickness, a boot that has started to split, a tire wearing on one edge.

Oil changes, answered.

How often should I be doing this?

Follow what the manufacturer put in your manual, and shorten it if you sit in traffic, tow, or do a lot of short trips. Those are harder on oil than highway miles.

Do you use synthetic?

Yes, and plenty of cars require it. Which one your engine takes is not a matter of preference.

Can you do it while I wait?

Often. Call (678) 851-1258 ahead and the shop can tell you what the bay looks like that day.

Will you try to sell me things I do not need?

You will get told what was seen and what it means. Whether it gets done is your call, and "that can wait" is a normal answer here.
